TEEN CATCHES TEACHER STEALING FROM BACKPACKS
A California high school student hid in a locker recently to try to catch a serial backpack thief in the act. Arming herself with a cell phone camera, Linden High School sophomore Justine Betti hoped to bust the crook who had been stealing cash from book bags during gym class for the past year. What she discovered was more shocking than she could have imagined…the thief was a well-liked teacher! In the incriminating video footage, the teacher is seen waiting until all the students left the locker room and then opening several backpacks and methodically going through them. Betti brought the video to the school principal and the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending an inquiry. We know teachers don’t make a lot but they shouldn’t have to resort to this!
LAWSUIT CLAIMS ANHEUSER-BUSCH IS WATERING DOWN BEER
Anheuser-Busch should know better than to mess with people’s alcohol. Three lawsuits, each worth $5 million, were filed this week against the beer company, which makes Budweiser, Michelob and eight other brands, claiming they are watering down their beer and cheating consumers out of the alcohol content stated on their labels. The suit, based on information obtained by former brewery employees, claims the practice began after the American company merged with the Belgian-Brazilian InBev in 2008. Anheuser-Busch claims the accusations are “completely false,” and says their beers are “in full compliance with labeling laws.”
MAN HITS RELATIVE WITH BURRITO
This guy had beef with his teenage relative. And beans and cheese and salsa. Erik Brown, 36, is facing a misdemeanor charge after allegedly battering the 16-year-old boy with a Taco Bell burrito! Police said the Florida man threw the burrito into the boy’s face “with force” during a domestic dispute earlier this month. Cops noted that while questioning the teen, he had “burrito cheese, sauce and meat all over his clothing and face.” Brown told police the teen had been disrespectful to his mother and had cursed at the woman. He also warned he would “take care” of the teen upon his release from custody, saying that the victim “was going to get knocked out.” That’s just loco!
