A new "antisocial media" website called Hell is Other People promises to keep you a safe distance from your annoying online "friends." The app uses Foursquare to pinpoint pals' check-ins on a map, then calculates "optimally distanced locations" where you'll be able to dodge them. Creator Scott Garner explains, "I actually really hate social media. I had to sign up for a social media site to talk to people to get them to be my friends on that site, so I could avoid them." The downside, of course, is that the app only works if your friends frequently check into Foursquare.
