The pop star performed a duet for "Firework" with autistic fan for Comedy Central's Night of Too Many Stars benefit

Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars autism benefit wasn’t just about putting Harvey Keitel and Carly Rae Jepsen onstage together and seeing what would happen. While they had our attention, the network also decided to tug on our heartstrings a little bit, bringing out Katy Perry out to duet with autistic fan Jodi DiPiazza on an intimate version of "Firework."
DiPiazza was diagnosed with autism as a toddler, in such a severe case that her parents feared she would never learn to speak. But thanks to intensive special education and music therapy, she’s been able to find a way through the disorder. DiPiazza took the stage with her idol Sunday night to show off her skills, and gained a few new fans in the process:
