Kelly tweeted the happy news along with a picture of her engagement ring

(WENN) - Kelly Clarkson received an early Christmas present when her boyfriend proposed on Friday.
The singer, 30, has been dating talent manager Brandon Blackstock for the past year. On Saturday, Clarkson shared the happy news on Twitter.
She tweeted:
@kelly_clarksonEveryone has been asking about my engagement ring, so here it is :) It's a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around …
She added, "Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can't wait to make Brandon's ring with Johnathon as well!"
Just last month, Clarkson admitted she was thrilled to be spending her first Christmas with Blackstock, the stepson of country singer Reba McEntire.
She said, "You know what - and this is going to sound like I'm making a joke, but it is so not. It is serious. I am not alone for the first time for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I am very happy. I've been praying for so long and he's so great."
And in November, Kelly proved she was ready for wedding bells, telling Ellen DeGeneres, "I mean, he’s got to put a ring on [it] at some point."
Guess he liked it... he put a ring on it!
